Mill Point Park, Spring Lake

Mill Point Park in Spring Lake on the Grand River is the venue for this fast, scenic event. This course is measured, certified and sanctioned with USA Track & Field.

This event welcomes runners AND walkers to participate. Running strollers WILL be allowed. While we love our pets, unfortunately, pets will NOT be allowed on the course. Skateboards, bikes, roller blades and wagons will NOT be allowed on the course.

Schedule (Tentative)

Friday, pre-race
3:30 PM to 7:30 PM  —  Late registration, packet pickup at Spring Lake Mill Point Park (Cash and Checks will be accepted)

Saturday, race day
6:30 AM to 7:40 AM — Late registration, packet pick up at Spring Lake Mill Point Park (Cash and Checks will be accepted)
7:45 AM — Final pre-race instructions
7:50 AM — National Anthem
8:00 AM — Start of 10K run (Run WILL start promptly at 8:00 AM)
8:10 AM — Start of 5K run (Run WILL start promptly at 8:10 AM)
9:15 AM — Kids’ Run (This start time is approximate)

 


Aid Stations

There will be 1 aid station on the run course at the “turn around” point on the bike path. Cups of water will be pre-filled and spaced out on the table. Cups will NOT be handed out and you must grab your own cup. Please place your emptied cup in the trash can.

Post Race

Expect social distancing in food lines and less food on site at events. IF post race food is provided, the tables will be spread apart (based on your race number). Any food provided will be pre-packaged. You will need to take your food to your vehicle or an area that is a safe distance from the venue. You might also consider bringing your own post-race food.

 


Directions to Mill Point Park

From Grand Rapids:
Take I-96 West to “Spring Lake/Grand Haven” Exit 9. Exit is on the LEFT. After exit, travel west on M-104 (Cleveland Ave) 6 miles to School Street. Turn left (south) on School Street and travel ¼ mile straight into the park.

From Holland:
Take US-31 North, traveling through Grand Haven. You will approach the drawbridge crossing the Grand River—stay in the right lane. Immediately after crossing the bridge, take “Spring Lake” Exit 104A. Travel east on Savidge Street 2/3 of a mile to School Street. Turn right (south) on School Street and travel ¼ mile straight into the park.

From Muskegon:
Take US-31 South, to “Spring Lake” Exit 104A, just before you reach the drawbridge. After exiting, travel under the drawbridge and over another bridge into Spring Lake. Stay on M-104 (Savidge St) and travel east approximately ¼ mile to School Street. Turn right (south) on School Street and travel ¼ mile straight into the park.
